Natural gas heating systems

Monday, December 27th, 2010

A home heating system is an integral part of house accommodation and comfort arrangement in United States. In United State, almost 70% home heating system is built on natural gas and this option of home heating system is mostly used by new made single family homes. Around in 1986, home heating system was segregated into two major types, one was electric heater system and the second option was natural gas driven furnace system. But with the advancement of time the users have find their compatibility in natural gas system and have made natural gas operated furnace as their first choice for home heating system.

The comfort quotient is the main reason behind the undisputed popularity of natural gas system. The users of natural gas operated furnace have recommended this type as one of most convenient, easy available, easy to operate, and efficient home heating system. Depending on the required efficiency level customers can select between two options, natural gas furnace with 90% efficiency and natural gas furnace with 75-78% efficiency, so that the customers can have their home heating system installed  as per their budget.

There are different types of gas furnace operated by natural gas; one can select the furnace as per their discretion. However, there are some other advantages of natural gas furnace over electric home heating system.

Natural gas provides better warmer feeling than the heat produced by electricity driven heat pump. Natural gas heat is delivered through forced air system at the temperature of 120-150 degree Fahrenheit. On the other hand warm air delivered by electric heat pump is available at 85-95 degree Fahrenheit. However the warm air keeps room warm but however, it has lower count of warmth than normal temperature of humans.

Natural gas furnaces are one of the most efficient ways to utilize natural gas energy in our daily living sector. This energy is produced by simple combustion of fuel; the heat is transferred to air, and blows the heated air through the building using a ductwork. These home heating systems are easy in install, low in maintenance cost and these systems hardly involve any malfunction of the system while working.

Although larger units do prefer different heating system for industrial use, packaged boilers, air rotation unit, and packaged handling unit etc. Most if these set ups contain air conditioning and heating system. t is surprising that all the air conditioning machines are run by electricity but heating systems are all run by natural gas operation.

The furnace operated by natural gas is mostly trouble less. However, it is good and great save to run a natural gas driven home heating system. However, if by any chance the gas starts leaking it might prove dangerous to attempt to fix the problem by own and it is important to call a technician from the utility company.

Easily Claim Travel Insurance for Lost or Stolen Goods

Tuesday, December 14th, 2010

While planning to go on a vacation or traveling for some work, most of us take travel insurance plans. Do you think that taking an insurance plan is enough? What if something goes wrong and you have to claim the insurance? Do you know how to go about it? No, then here I will tell you how to easily claim travel insurance for lost or stolen goods.

OWNERSHIP PROOF

Insurance companies will most often refuse your claim if you don’t have any proof of ownership of your stolen goods. The best proof of ownership is the original receipt. Do you have all your original receipts in safeguard? Well I am a really lazy person and don’t bother to keep the receipts of not so dear goods. Then I would say that the representative of the company is also a human being and the company also is not so evil. The company will accept your claim for general stuff like cloths, toiletries, luggage etc. but without a proof of brand or value, what you will get as claim will only be a fraction of its true value.

I hope that when you are planning for a vacation, you must be taking a digital camera with you. So take photos of the entire luggage you are taking with you, especially the brand and style, with tags. Also prepare a list of all the items you are taking in a spreadsheet and save these photos and spreadsheet at your home. If possible, save these at some of your account on internet as well so that you don’t have to wait to claim insurance, till you get back home.

REPLACEMENT VALUE

Travel insurance companies usually give you the amount after subtracting depreciation from it. So you will be able to buy a second hand replacement for your stolen goods. But for some goods, even the second hand cost would not be too low. If the insurance company does not give the adequate amount for such goods, you can provide the company with proofs of true market value (for e.g. classifieds and second hand shops). If the company still refuses to pay, you can take it to court.

POLICE REPORTS AND PROOF

The insurance companies will not take your word if your goods are stolen. You have to submit a proof. The proof can be in the form of a police report or a statement from airlines or cruise ship if the incident happened in their territory.

Getting a police report may be troublesome in some countries. You can contact your embassy or consulate in that case. If the country provides travel police, then that will be the best option for you.

LUGGAGE LEFT UNATTENDED

The insurance companies will not accept your claim if you left your luggage unattended and it got lost. Nobody however leaves the luggage unattended (except me) but it also includes leaving the luggage unlocked, with someone you don’t know, with the guard at hotels or with tour companies.

So no need to worry now Just take travel insurance policy and go for a relaxing vacation as you already know how to easily claim travel insurance for lost or stolen goods.
